Malcolm's first marriage was to an unknown lady. His sons Duncan and Donald were as a result of this marriage. He was crowned King of Scotland on 25th April 1058 at Scone Abbey.
Margaret of England - his second wife - was canonised in 1250 and her feast day in Scotland is 16th November. She is normally known as St Margaret.
Malcolm's body was firstly buried in Tynemouth, St Albans. It was later transferred to Dunfermline Abbey. Finally both the bodies of he and his second wife were transferred to Escorial Madrid.
