Chepstow to Bristol and back home
No castles to visit today. It was to be a fairly short ride over the Severn Bridge and into the outskirts of Bristol to visit Cara and the boys for lunch. The weather had been very kind to us all week (apart from the first day), and fortunately today, as we cycle across the Severn, it was also calm. The views from the Bridge were great. After an excellent lunch we caught the train back to Birmingham from Bristol Parkway and it wasn't long before we boarded the connection to Hinckley. Fortunately for some cyclists the guard didn't chose to come through the carriages - there were 5 bikes on the train and in theory only 2 can be carried at any one time.
The mileage at the end of the day was 18.7 miles.
The total mileage for the week was 307 miles
Total Castles visited - 35
I am very grateful to the Castles of Wales website from which a lot of useful information was obtained.
