Fernando succeeded his father as Fernando II King of Leon, Galicia and Extremadura in 1157
Fernando married firstly Urraca de Portugal but this marriage was repudiated around 1172 as she was his second cousin.
Fernando married secondly Teresa Nunez de Lara and they had two children. Teresa died in 1180.
Fernando married thirdly Urraca Lopez de Haro in May 1187 and they had three children.
