ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

William died on 31st May 1846.  His death certificate states that he (William Daynton) was living at Back Street, Trowbridge and was aged 75 years.  He was a weaver by trade and the cause of death is indicated as natural decay 3 weeks.  The death was registered by Ann Whitmarsh also of Back Street who was present at the death - we do not know of a connection between her and the family.  Please note that the previous death certificate that was cited on this page (Q4 1849 Melksham (ref8/188)) was in error as this William Dainton was aged 26 at death.

Sarah died on 31st January 1846.  Her address is given as Stallard Street Trowbridge and her age as 75.  It says she is the wife of William Dainton, Labourer and that she had had a paralysis for 7 years.  The death was registered by Ann Dainton who was present at the death.  We believe that this was William and Sarah's daughter who possibly died on 05/04/1847 (Zion Baptist Church Record).

Sarah Dainton possibly married James Frances in 1821 (source IGI)
Ann Dainton was baptised in the Zion Baptist Church in 1830 and she died in 1847 (see above)
Rebecca Dainton married Thomas Hescott Andrews on 22 January 1827 (source IGI)
