Thomas Poynings married secondly Philippa daughter of Edmund, Earl of March and widow of Richard Earl of Arundel. He married thirdly Margaret daughter of Sir Nigel Loring and widow of Sir Thomas Peyre. He married fourthly Maud.
Thomas, on the death of his mother in 1393/4, became Lord St John but he was never summoned to Parliament.
