Tom Fox's birth was registered on 8th August 1857. He was born at 6 Waterloo Terrace, Gloucester Road North, St Pancras. His father's occupation is given as Upholsterer, Master. His mother is shown as Mary Jane Fox formerly Bond.
On the 1911 census the family's address is Victoria Road, Marsland Road, Sale - by studying adjacent records this is possibly 35 Victoria Road.
The Manchester Evening News for Monday 22nd March 1948 contains the following report:-
"FOX - On March 19th in hospital, SARAH ANN FOX, in her 91st year, beloved mother of Leonard and Beatrice Fox. Cortege from 31 Alice Street, Sale Moor, Wednesday March 24th. Service at St Annes Church, 2.45; committal Manchester Crematorium 3.20. Enquiries A Gresty."
Children:
Minnie was baptised 3/08/1879 at Collyhurst, St Oswald. She married Samuel Joseph Howarth 18th April 1903 at Christ Church, Kensington, Liverpool.
Albert Louis was baptised 19/12/1880 at Collyhurst, St Oswald. He died aged 5 in 1886.
Beatrice was baptised 1/10/1882 at Collyhurst, St Oswald.
Florence's birth has not been found on the GRO index. The Ancestry.co.uk BMD index was searched from q2, 1884 to q1, 1887
Arthur died q2, 1906 age 18 (q2, 1906 Prestwich 8d, 293). He was buried on 31/03/1906 at Manchester General Cemetary
Stanley was baptised 07/01/1891 at Harpurhey, Christchurch. He died q1, 1891 (8d, 380 Prestwich)
According to the 1911 census Tom and Sarah had 10 children, 6 of whom were still living in 1911. The details of one child who died before 1911 have not been found.
