A marriage announcement was published in the Hereford Times on Saturday 3rd October 1857 and also in the Hereford Journal on Wednesday 7th October 1857:-
"Sept. 14, at Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., by the Rev. Mr. Hughes, D.D., Mr. S. Prosser to Emma, daughter of the late Mr. Thos. Davies, all of Hay, Breconshire."
Samuel appears on page 327 of the 1858/59 Woods Baltimore Directory as "Proper Samuel, Book Agent, 127 n Fremont"
Samuel also appears on the 1860 Woods Baltimore City Directory as "Prosser Samuel, Book Agent, 355 Franklin".
He has not been found on the Baltimore directories for 1864, 65, 67, 68, 70, 73 & 76
Samuel Prosser died before 1880 ( ref.marriage certificate of Samuel George Reese & Ellen Kirk). On this certificate his occupation is recorded as "Druggist".
